cleansed today.
Not bad only 19 infected files,and 85 spyware related files.

So strike 1 more user from the desease that is MSN and Internet Explorer.

k8’s m8’s Virus (sumom.c)-update

peeps try this….i know it sounds simple but log in as a different user.

Update:- login as new user
2)open internet explorer(yes u heard me right )
3)open this page(Tkey) in I.E.
4) click on Click Here
.

Hopefully the panda antivirus website should open for you.
Run the online check. This will disinfect 99% of the infected files.
But not the spyware files.
Now run a spyware program to get rid of these files.
reboot your machine,log on as previous user.

Now all you have to do is:
1) Never use MSN messenger again…..stop shaking your head i mean it.
2)Only use Internet Explorer in emergency and only then with a note from the queen
giving you a royal pardon.

Remember folks there is a choice out there don’t be afraid of change.

Online AntiVirus Scan

K8 and K8’S m8’s
virus identified as Sumom.C
W32/Sumom-C is an instant messenger and P2P worm.

W32/Sumom-C terminates a large number processes related to anti-virus and security programs,
including REGEDIT.EXE, TASKMGR.EXE and MSCONFIG.EXE.

W32/Sumom-C drops and runs a file called l0ser.Html. This file can be deleted.

There is no ‘fix’ available as yet.
But i am sure the anti-virus people are working on it.
The best bet at the moment would b to disconnect the internet from your computers,
or at the very least people.
STOP USING MSN MESSENGER and INTERNET EXPLORER IMMEDIATELY.
AS IN NOW !!!!!!
YES U READING THIS ON IE, STOP IT RIGHT NOW
TURN IT OFF AND GET FIREFOX,
BEFORE THE BLOODY SKY FALLS ON OUR HEADS.

NTL on Watchdog

I missed this a couple of weeks ago on BBC’s Watchdog program

“Sarah Daniels was forced into extreme measures when she tried to talk to NTL about her mother’s account.
Her mother passed away in October last year and Sarah sent the company a copy of the death certificate
as well as a letter saying that she would now be handling any outstanding payments.

But NTL continued to write to Sarah’s deceased mother asking for her
authorisation to discuss the account with Sarah.
Eventually Sarah wrote a letter from her deceased mother explaining that since she had passed away,
she was no longer able to deal with such queries.”
