Gentle reminder – Switch to Firefox

Mon 12th March 2007 by tkey Leave a Comment

well it’s not so gentle actually.
It has been brought to my attention that if you are viewing this site using IE7
then the chances are you will not able to view any flash animations
or youtube videos etc.

This is a result of the latest Internet Explorer update.

Microsoft recently lost a legal battle with a patent holder
about the way Internet Explorer displays OBJECTs and EMBEDs in webpages.
Microsoft then decided to update its Internet Explorer browser with changes
requiring user input to display and activate ActiveX based media.

This affects all Flash animations but also other files such as QuickTime,
RealPlayer, Java and Adobe Acrobat among others.

This site is optimized to run on the Firefox browser.
I gave up trying to make it “work” in the various IE flavors a long time ago.

1st image is my site viewed with Firefox the 2nd image is IE7

If you are having trouble with viewing video content on here or any other site
may i suggest you make the switch to firefox.
It’s free and painless.
You never no you might just like it.

You no it’s time to stop driving when……….

Fri 02nd March 2007 by tkey Leave a Comment

An 80-year-old woman has crashed her car into a driving test centre in Florida,
after being summoned to retake a road safety examination.

Therese Smith smashed into the office’s waiting room, injuring 11 people.

It is thought she was moving out of her parking space but accelerated too hard,
propelling her through an outside wall.

The accident was caught on surveillance camera
and shows people rushing up to Ms Smith who was still buckled in her seat belt.
No-one was seriously hurt.
