Liverpool v United

Sun 16th December 2007 by tkey 1 Comment

Liverpool 0 United 1
And the reds go marching on on on !

“We both look upon the other as our main rival.
You have to be a man to handle that atmosphere.
If you are a lamb, you are dead.

“No matter what position the clubs are in
this game is separate from anything.

“It encapsulates everything in British football:
the passion, the fervour of the fans, the ability of the players.”

War of the worlds – Live!

Sat 15th December 2007 by tkey Leave a Comment

In 1978 Jeff Wayne composed and produced one of the most groundbreaking
and best-selling musical works of all time.
In 2006 Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds
was brought to the stage for the first time, and last night i got to see it.

The War of The Worlds Live is a spectacular mix of live music,
theater, multi-media and visual arts on a grand scale.
It combines the brilliance of the original performers including
Jeff Wayne, Justin Hayward, Chris Thompson and the late Richard Burton.
The music is provided by the Black Smoke Band and the 48-piece ULLAdubULLA Strings
but the star of the show is a fully operating 30ft Martian Fighting Machine!

My uncle (Dave) first introduced me to ‘worlds’ over 25 years ago
and i have loved it ever since.
The show was better than i imagined it could be,
totally out of this world (pardon the pun)
